Our job as Consulting Engineers is to design Mechanical,
Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection systems.
The goal of the firm is to provide high quality service
by meeting the client's specific needs, through attention
to detail, and by coordination with our primary client,
e.g., Architect/Owner/ Contractor and the Owner/Developer.
The majority of the firm's clients are Architects,
whom the firm works with on a regular basis. Work is
also done for contractors, private businesses and individuals.
Most of our business is repeat, and by recommendation
of former clients.
We remain in constant contact with the client throughout
the design process and beyond. Our services include
inspections and reports on construction progress, and
the writing of project specifications.
Engineering projects range from custom homes, to larger
and more diverse projects such as hotels, apartment
complexes, public housing complexes, swimming pools,
recreational facilities, parks, schools, industrial
facilities, libraries, civic/convention centers, medical
facilities, military facilities, restaurants, shopping
malls, auto dealership showrooms/shops, banking, office
complexes, museums, and frequently historic structures.
The firm provided design/build services for renovation
of the 55,000 sq. ft. Old Chatham County Courthouse,
the 98,000 sq. ft. Mighty 8th Air Force Museum and Heritage
Center, and the 280,000 sq. ft. warehouse/office/manufacturing
center for Ithaca Industries. In addition, the firm
provided engineering services for the renovation of
the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and is presently
working on the renovation/addition to Congregation Mickve
Israel.
The firm provides detailed lighting designs with calculations
for churches, automobile dealer showrooms and sales
lots, shopping centers, college and mall parking lots
as well as building features such as signs, steeples
and roofs.
We are very fortunate to be located in Savannah where
renovation of historic structures present a unique and
challenging opportunity to bring the past into the present
without destroying the character of the structure.
We have had the privilege to do work for The Telfair
Academy, The Georgia Historic Society, The Lucas Theater
and many other commercial projects as well as several
private homes in the Historic District.
In 1993 the firm was awarded an Historic Preservation
Award by the Savannah Historic Society for Interior
Lighting Design at the Georgia Historic Society building.
